Stratigraphy comments: STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Craie de Ciply, which unconformably overlies the Craie de Spiennes (Late Campanian), and is unconformably overlain by the Tuffeau de Saint-Symphorien (Late Maastrichtian). AGE: Early Maastrichtian, on the basis of ammonite and belemnite biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: Collection is a composite of the entire formation.
