Holotype (IVPP V.4704). Originally, a series of specimens in a slab (IVPP V.4074 and 4074.1–14) were reported (Yeh 1973) of these, only the holotype of Sinemys wuerhoensis was retained in the taxon (as Xinjiangchelys sp.) by Danilov & Parham (2007)
