Lithology description: "At the type locality [community] occurs in fine- and medium-grained, quartzose sandstone interbedded with feldspathic, fine-grained sandstone, greenish-gray siltstone and claystone and calcareous sandstone with lenses of shelly sandstone. [Sandy limestone also mentioned. Fossils from siltstone, shelly, calcareous sandstone, and sandy limestone (corals)."
Environment:marine indet.
Geology comments: "The overall lithology...suggests a shallow water, normally turbulent environment somewhat removed from the coast itself. Coarse, terrigenous deposits are absent...BA2-3."
