Lithology description: primarily clay and silty clay, some nodular and pebbly horizons, some pyritized material, lots of wood fragments. Unit 8 is a silty clay with flint pebbles and a woody pocket.

Taxonomic list comments:Harrison, 1980 describes a new species Parvulivenator watteli from "Unit A" of the London Clay (probably a name for the unit to which all these collections (units 1-11) belong). The description in George and Vincent describe this bed as containing bird remains throughout.
