Stratigraphy
Stratigraphy comments: A number of authors working on the fossil flora in the schists in this basin think that the age ranges from Eocene to Oligocene. Plants are in layers of silicious "sapropèle" produced by algae. |

Primary lithology: | schist |
Lithology description: "Bituminous schist", large elongate pyrite nodules - specimens are preserved in the schists and the pyrite nodules. | |
Environment: | terrestrial indet. |

Collection methods and comments
Collection excludes: | some genera,some macrofossils |
Collection methods: | survey of museum collection |
