Lithology and environment
Lithology description: The Bou Hanifia formation overlies marine levels rich in foraminifera and nanoplancton. The terrestrial deposits are overlain by transgressive marine sediments containing foraminifera. Bou Hanifia I is stratigraphically below Bou Hanifia II (rodent locality) and is 50 meters below Bou Hanifia V (rodent locality)
Environment:fluvial-lacustrine indet.
