Stratigraphy comments: Except where otherwise stated, ref. 7624 uses Lower Silurian as equivalent to Llandovery, Middle Silurian as equivalent to Wenlock, and Upper Silurian as equivalent to Ludlow plus Pridoli. "This fauna was assigned a Middle Silurian, Wenlock age. The base of the formation is unexposed."

Lithology description: "It contains volcanogenic strata and some calcareous sandstone [containing] limestone lenses--al of these interbedded with the volcanogenic beds. It has silicified limestone at its base, and the total thickness is 769 m. The fauna is s rich shelly one containing [list]..."
