Secondary lithology:dolomitic,shelly/skeletal packstone
Includes fossils?Y
Includes fossils?Y
Lithology description: "...in dolomitized skeletal wackestones (rare packstones) and skeletal debris is generally well preserved."
Environment:deep subtidal ramp Tectonic setting:cratonic basin
Glacial or sequence phase:transgressive systems tract
Geology comments: "Articulated echinoderm cups indicate that turbulent conditions not pervasive. However, brachiopod valves commonly disarticulated and winnowed skeletal rich horizons are present, suggesting that bottom currents, possibly storm generated (tempestites) were more common than in the underlying Stricklandia association. [Other indications of concentration of echinoderms by currents]. ..community occurs above stricklandiid-bearing uinits (BA 4 to BA 3-4) and below a BA 3 Pentamerus Comm...possibly indicating an intermediate position (outer BA 3 to BA 3-4 boundary)."
