Stratigraphy comments: The interval occurs in the lower part of sequence S5 in section 6 in Davydov et al. (2001, fig. 3). The well-exposed coastal cliff sections at Kap Jungersen are dated by fusulinids and correlated to the Russian type sections (Davydov et al. 2001). The fish fauna is from sediments belonging to the lower Moscovian (Kashirian) Citrinoides paraozawai zone of Davydov et al. (2001).
