| Stratigraphy comments: The first bed lies in the lower part of the Sogno Formation, about 1.1 m above the base. Ammonites belonging to the Tenuicostatum Zone were collected below and above the first level, allowing a precise assignment to the lowermost Toarcian. | |||||

| Lithology description: Clay and clayey marls in thin laminae, brownish with more carbonatic nuclei. Planar alignments of small pyritic crystals. The organic carbon was analyzed in a single rock specimen: the organic matter constitutes 1.29% of the whole rock. | |
