Stratigraphy comments: The Upton Warren site was radiocarbon dated at 41,500 +/-1200 (GRO 595) and 41,900 +/- 800 (GRO 1245). Both dates are in close agreement and together with a dated humate extract indicate that the organic horizon was deposited approximately 42,000 years B.P.
