Primary lithology: lithified floatstone
Lithology description: The Upper Cretaceous carbonate succession is mainly constituted of bioclastic and biointraclastic whitish limestone with a rich and well diversified fossil fauna typified by rudists, chondrodontids and nerineid gastropodes referable to the CE (Cenomanian) interval.
Environment:shallow subtidal indet.
Geology comments: This outcrop is located in the eastern side of the Agri Valley, at the eastern side of the Agri Valley, at the easternmost part of the Mesozoic Apennine chain. Thickness of nearly 100 m.
