Plotopterum joaquinensis
Taxonomy
Plotopterum joaquinensis was named by Howard (1969). Its type specimen is LACM no. 8927, a limb element (upper end of left coracoid), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Pyramid Hill Sand Member grit zone, which is in a Chattian marine sandstone in the Jewett Formation of California.
