Taxonomy
Pecten crocus was named by Ward (1992) [DISTRIBUTION: ?Oligocene-Miocene; Caribbean.]. Its type specimen is USNM 167079, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Dimarzipecten.

It was recombined as Dimarzipecten crocus by Ward (1992).
