Eburneopecten cerinus
Taxonomy
Pecten cerinus was named by Conrad (1869). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is James T. Thomas estate, which is in a Serravallian offshore shelf horizon in the Calvert Formation of Maryland.
It was recombined as Pecten (Pseudamusium) cerinus by Glenn (1904); it was recombined as Eburneopecten cerinus by Ward (1992).
