It was corrected as Callorhynchidae by Jordan (1963) and Kriwet and Gazdizicki (2003); it was misspelled as Callorhynchidae by Parmley and Cicimurri (2005), Nelson (2006), Buchanan et al. (2007), Nelson et al. (2016), Kent (2018), Popov and Shapovalov (2021) and Ebersole et al. (2022).
It was assigned to Chimeroidei by Kriwet and Gazdizicki (2003); to Chimaeriformes by Parmley and Cicimurri (2005), Buchanan et al. (2007) and Kent (2018); to Callorhinchoidea by Nelson (2006), Nelson et al. (2016) and Popov and Shapovalov (2021); and to Chimaeroidei by Jordan (1963) and Ebersole et al. (2022).
