Anomalinoides was named by Brotzen (1942) [Sepkoski's age data: K Albi-u R]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Anomalininae by Bertels (1964) and Mailhe et al. (1967); to Foraminiferida by Sepkoski (2002); to Heterolepidae by Brotzen (1942), Kiessling (2003) and Margerel (2012); and to Anomalinidae by Missotti (2022).
