Taxonomy
Hexaprotodon mingoz was named by Boisserie et al. (2003) [housed at Centre National d'Appui a la Recherche (CNAR), Ndjamena, Chad]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is KL09-98-049. Its type locality is Kolle, which is in a Zanclean fluvial-lacustrine sandstone in Chad.
