Taxonomy
Enchodus tineidae was named by Holloway et al. (2017). Its type specimen is MUVP 59, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tineida, which is in a Campanian marine mudstone in the Duwi Formation of Egypt.
