Tursiops osennae
Taxonomy
Tursiops osennae was named by Simonelli (1911). Its type specimen is MB 8561/1COC15-16, a partial skeleton (skull & partial skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is San Quirico d'Orcia, which is in a Zanclean coastal mudstone in Italy.
