Ornithosuchus woodwardi

Taxonomy
Ornithosuchus woodwardi was named by Newton (1894). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NHMUK PV R2409–2410, a skeleton. Its type locality is Spynie main quarry (quarry 3), near Elgin, which is in a Carnian/Norian dune sandstone in the Lossiemouth Sandstone Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was synonymized subjectively with Ornithosuchus longidens by Walker (1964).
