Gongbusaurus shiyii

Taxonomy
Gongbusaurus shiyii was named by Dong et al. (1983). Its type specimen is IVPP V9069-1, 9069-2 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is IVPP Rong H6-2, Duxin, Rongxian, which is in a Bathonian/Callovian terrestrial horizon in the Shaximiao Formation of China. It is the type species of Gongbusaurus.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Knoll (1999) and Norman et al. (2004); it was considered a nomen dubium by Ruiz-Omeñaca et al. (2010).

Z. Dong et al. 1983A small primitive ornithopod with a rounded premaxillary tooth crown and asymmetrical serrations on the anterior and posterior carinae. The teeth are flat with the lingual side possessing a thin layer of enamel, the center of the crown possesses a small swollen ridge, and the lingual and labial sides are swollen to form a symmetrical crown that maintains small picketed denticles on the anterior and posterior carinae.
