Taxonomy
Promylagaulus lemhiensis was named by Nichols (1976). Its type locality is Peterson Creek (Middle MV 7303), which is in an Arikareean terrestrial horizon in the Peterson Creek Beds Formation of Idaho.
It was recombined as Trilaccogaulus lemhiensis by Korth (1992).
