Synthetoceras tricornatus
Taxonomy
Synthetoceras tricornatus was named by Stirton (1932) [genotype]. Its type specimen is UCMP 31520, a partial skeleton ([skull] slightly crushed on right side, some displacement of left orbit and pterygoid region; major portion of right branch and tip of left branch of rostral ho), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bromley Ranch, which is in a Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in Texas.
