Taxonomy
Poabromylus minor was named by Wilson (1974). Its type locality is Yoder, which is in a Chadronian terrestrial siltstone/sandstone in the Chadron Formation of Wyoming.

It was recombined as Pseudoprotoceras minor by Kihm (1987).
