Palaeolama mirifica (stout-legged llama)

Taxonomy
Tanupolama mirifica was named by Simpson (1929). Its type specimen is AMNH 23483, a set of teeth (m1-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Seminole Field, which is in a Pleistocene fluvial sandstone in Florida.

It was recombined as Palaeolama mirifica by Webb (1974), Kurten and Anderson (1980), Honey et al. (1998) and Hulbert and Pratt (1998).
