Gripholagomys lavocati
Taxonomy
Gripholagomys lavocati was named by Green (1972). Its type specimen is SDSM No. 62294, a maxilla (fragmentary left maxilla with P3-M1), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Black Bear Quarry II, which is in a Hemingfordian coarse channel fill conglomerate in the Rosebud Formation of South Dakota. It is the type species of Gripholagomys.
