Fanimus clasoni

Taxonomy
Pleurolicus clasoni was named by Macdonald (1963). Its type specimen is SDSM 54388, a mandible (fragment of right ramus, with incisor and lightly worn p4-m1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sharps (SDSM V-5350), which is in a Geringian terrestrial horizon in the Sharps Formation of South Dakota.

It was recombined as Sanctimus clasoni by Macdonald (1970), Rensberger (1973) and Wahlert (1983); it was recombined as Fanimus clasoni by Korth et al. (1990).
