Larus pristinus
Taxonomy
Larus pristinus was named by Shufeldt (1915). Its type specimen is YPM 935, a set of vertebrae, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lower Willow Creek, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in Oregon.
It was recombined as Larus (Larus) pristinus by Wetmore (1940).
