Merluccius pukeuriensis
Taxonomy
Merluccius pukeuriensis was named by Frost (1924). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is S137/f499 - Rifle Butts Fm, Pukeuri, which is in an Altonian coastal sandstone in the Rifle Butts Formation of New Zealand.
It was recombined as Macruronus pukeuriensis by Frost (1934), Schwarzhans (1980) and Schwarzhans (2019).
