C. R. Barnes 1977 | Predominantly hyaline conodonts with a skeletal apparatus following the prioniodont plan. The cordylodiform, zygognathiform and trichonodell~forni elements have long slender cusps and sharp margins or costae that extend down into short, laterally compressed processes that are adenticulate to weakly denticulate. Oistodiform and dichognathiform elements have shorter, broader cusps that are more sharply reclined. The basal cavity is large and deep, conical in lateral view, ralnlform elements commonly have lobate lateral basal margins. |
