---|---|---|
F. B. Kelly 1967 | Semi-circular to quadrate or rhomboid, having radial costellae with small interspaces and rugae not coarsely developed. Foramen small, often cicatrized; pseudodeltidium small covering only umbonal part of delthyrium. Ventral valve depressed immediately inside line of geniculation. Ventral muscle scar large, widely cordate. Adductors anteriorly elevated, shorter than diductors. | |
O. A. Hoel 2005 | Species of Leptaena with large number of regular rugae and small alae. Chilidium massive, pseudodeltidium very small. Inner surface usually strongly tuberculate. Cardinal process lobes relatively very small and parallel. Teeth strong, sockets shallow. See also KELLY (1967: 595). |
