  • Eurotestudo was named by Lapparent de Broin et al. (2006). It is extant. It was considered monophyletic by Lapparent de Broin et al. (2006).

    It was synonymized objectively with Chersine by Bour and Ohler (2008).

    It was assigned to Testudinidae by Lapparent de Broin et al. (2006).
