Ossirarus kierani
Taxonomy
Ossirarus kierani was named by Clack et al. (2016). Its type specimen is UMZC 2016.3, a partial skeleton (A single block containing scattered skull and postcranial remains), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Burnmouth Ross end cliffs (340.5 m), which is in a Tournaisian floodplain siltstone in the Ballagan Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Ossirarus.
