Taxonomy
Striatolamia was named by Glikman (1964) [Sepkoski's age data: T Dani T Eo-m-l Sepkoski's reference number: 958]. It is not extant. Its type is Otodus macrotus.

It was assigned to Odontaspinae by Herman (1977); to Lamniformes by Sepkoski (2002); to Odontaspidae by Hastings and Dooley (2017); to Odontaspididae by Maisch et al. (2014) and Cantalice et al. (2019); and to Mitsukurinidae by Otero et al. (2013), Case et al. (2015) and Ebersole et al. (2019).
