Paraplacosauriops quercyi
Taxonomy
Placosaurus quercyi was named by Filhol (1882). Its type specimen is MNHN QU 16569 (neotype) (left dentary) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Phosphorites du Quercy (for taxa with non-specific locality data), which is in an Eocene/Miocene terrestrial phosphorite in the Quercy Phosphorites Formation of France.
It was recombined as Paraplacosauriops quercyi by Sullivan and Augé (2006) and Auge and Sullivan (2006).
