Taxonomy
Cypraea cribraria was named by Linnaeus (1758) [m. kosnik taxon no: 10474]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Cribraria cribraria by Jousseaume (1884) and Cate (1969); it was recombined as Cypraea (Cribraria) cribraria by Ladd (1977); it was recombined as Cypraea (Cribrarula) cribraria by Wilson (1993) and Wilson (2002); it was recombined as Cribrarula cribraria by Strand (1929) and Meyer (2004).
