Palaeocladosictis mosesi
Taxonomy
Palaeocladosictis mosesi was named by Paula Couto (1961). Its type specimen is MNRJ 2671-V, a tooth (DP4 or P4 (originally thought to be M1 or M2)), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Palaeocladosictis.
