J. Watanabe and H. Matsuoka 2015Large-sized duck with a relatively reduced pecto-
ral skeleton that is characterized by the following combination of osteological features: sternum—carina sterni reduced, with blunt margo ventralis carinae, sulcus carinae developed as sub- triangular fossa on margo cranialis sterni; humerus—crista delto- pectoralis concave dorsally, cranial margin less angular, extending distally, and ending in a steep angle at one-third of shaft length, fossa m. brachialis well marked with a ridge on the ventral margin, epicondylus ventralis reduced; carpometacar- pus—margo cranialis flattened throughout with a distinct dorsal margin; and tibiotarsus—fossa developed between the distal extent of crista cnemialis lateralis and crista fibularis, extending proximally to reach caput tibiae.
