Taxonomy
Viviparus jingguensis was named by Pan (1977). Its type specimen is NIGP 24238, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is YHS492, Heping township, Jinggu County, which is in a Bajocian/Bathonian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Hepingxiang Formation of China.
