Siren hesterna (siren)
Taxonomy
Siren hesterna was named by Goin and Auffenberg (1955). Its type specimen is MCZ 2278, a set of vertebrae (posterior thoracic vertebra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Thomas Farm, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Alachua Formation of Florida.
