Lispodesthes rotundatus

Taxonomy
Pugnellus rotundus was named by Waring (1917). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chico area south of the Santa Monica Mountains (Locality 3 of Waring 1917), which is in a Cretaceous marine sandstone/shale in the Tuna Canyon Formation of California.

It was recombined as Conchothyra rotunda by Hoots (1931); it was recombined as Lispodesthes rotundus by Saul (1991); it was recombined as Lispodesthes rotundatus by Elder and Saul (1993).
