Apateopholis laniatus

Taxonomy
Rhinellus laniatus was named by Davis (1887). Its type specimen is BMNH P4745, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hakel (Lewis collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal carbonate in Lebanon.

It was recombined as Prionolepis laniatus by Woodward (1901); it was recombined as Apateopholis laniatus by Goody (1969) and Forey et al. (2003).
