Hispidaspis gigas
Taxonomy
Scapanorhynchus gigas was named by Woodward (1889). Its type specimen is BMNH 46362, a set of teeth, and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Hispidaspis.
It was recombined as Odontaspis gigas by Dalinkevičius (1935); it was recombined as Hispidaspis gigas by Jambura et al. (2024).
