Taxonomy
Enchodus zipapanensis was named by Fielitz and González-Rodríguez (2010). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Muhi quarry, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian deep subtidal shelf lime mudstone in the El Doctor Formation of Mexico.
