Chisternon undatum

Taxonomy
Baena undata was named by Leidy (1871). Its type specimen is ANSP 10040, a partial shell (plastron lacking the anterior portion of the anterior lobe), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is A few miles from Fort Bridger, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Chisternon.

It was recombined as Chisternon undatum by Leidy (1873), Hay (1908), Gilmore (1915), Hay (1930), Gaffney (1972), Gaffney (1972), Perea et al. (2014) and Joyce and Lyson (2015).
