Taxonomy
Pristis pickeringi was named by Case (1981). Its type specimen is USNM 23572 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Penn-Dixie Portland Cement quarry, which is in an Eocene marine limestone in the Jacksonian Formation of Georgia.
