Paralligator gradilifrons

Taxonomy
Paralligator gradilifrons was named by Konzhukova (1954). Its type specimen is PIN 554-1, a partial skull (Nearly complete skull, lacking palate), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shiregin Gashun (PIN coll. 554) [MPE], which is in a Cenomanian/Santonian terrestrial sandstone in the Baynshire Formation of Mongolia.

It was recombined as Shamosuchus gradilifrons by Efimov (1982), Efimov (1983), Storrs and Efimov (2000) and Turner (2015).

Synonyms
  • Shamosuchus tersus was named by Efimov (1983). Its type specimen is PIN 3141/501, a partial skull (Partial skull), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nogon Tsav (PIN 3141) [SMPE/SMGE], which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Beds of Nogon Tsav Formation of Mongolia.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Shamosuchus gradilifrons by Turner (2015).
  • Shamosuchus ulanicus was named by Efimov (1983). Its type specimen is PIN 3140/502, a partial skeleton (Partial skull and skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ulaan Bulag (PIN), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Nemegt Formation of Mongolia.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Shamosuchus gradilifrons by Turner (2015).
  • Paralligator ulgicus was named by Efimov (1981). Its type specimen is PIN 3458/501, a partial skull (Incomplete skull and osteoderms), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Amtgay [SMPE], which is in a Cenomanian/Santonian terrestrial horizon in the Baynshire Formation of Mongolia.

    It was recombined as Shamosuchus ulgicus by Efimov (1981), Efimov (1982), Efimov (1983) and Storrs and Efimov (2000); it was synonymized subjectively with Shamosuchus gradilifrons by Turner (2015).
