Oreosaurus gracilis

Taxonomy
Oreosaurus gracilis was named by Marsh (1872). Its type specimen is USNM 16529, an osteoderm (four keeled, elongated osteoscutes), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Henry's Fork, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.

It was recombined as Xestops gracilis by Marsh (1872), Hay (1902) and Hay (1930); it was considered a nomen dubium by Meszoely (1970).
