Taniwhasaurus antarcticus
Taxonomy
Lakumasaurus antarcticus was named by Novas et al. (2002). Its type specimen is IAA 2000-JR-FSM-1, a partial skeleton (Almost complete and articulated skull, rib fragments and isolated vertebrae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dinosaurio River, Santa Marta Cove, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian marginal marine sandstone in the Snow Hill Island Formation of Antarctica.
It was recombined as Taniwhasaurus antarcticus by Martin and Fernández (2007) and Driscoll et al. (2019).
